FAQ
What will I be doing?
The project is refurbishing a forest trail. You will be adding cross ties to act as water bars. This means moving cross ties, digging and hammering rebar.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone age 11 and up can participate. You do not need to be a Boy Scout to help out.
I do not want to dig or carry a cross tie, can I still help?
Yes. In addition to adding water bars, we need volunteers to help with hydration and lunch.
What do I wear?
You will be working outdoors so long pants and a hat are advisable but not required. However closed toed shoes are required.
What should I bring?
You will need gloves and eye protection. In addition if you have any of these tools please bring them.

What time should I be there?
We will begin work at 8:30 am and complete in the mid afternoon. You can show up for part of the day or the whole day. The shuttles will leave from Southminster Church in Vestavia at 7:45 am each work day.
